I’m going the distance at Grant Thornton
I've always enjoyed a challenge — whether it's pushing myself to finish my next long-distance running mile or spending hours deep-diving into a new topic that interests me — and I knew I wanted a career that satisfied my drive. And from day one, Grant Thornton proved to be a place where I could always learn a new skill and build my career at the same time. In addition, I've found a supportive team who cheers me on, pushes me to be my best and enables me to contribute in ways beyond the typical 9-5 job.
I’m setting a new pace
I love getting to support a wide range of clients and industries. I was assigned a client in an unfamiliar industry when I first joined the team. To get ahead, I took advantage of the firm's digital badging program and completed the Technology & Telecommunications badge, which helped me support my clients and propel my career forward. My ambition to conquer new skills hasn't stopped since.
“I have a very active mind, and the same curiosity that got me into ultramarathon running is what fuels my motivation to learn at work every day. At Grant Thornton, I know I have the team and professional development opportunities to support me in whatever I want to learn next."

My team pushes me further
From my first interview, each person I talked to seemed interested in getting to know me. My teammates genuinely care about what excites me outside of work, and that's made me comfortable opening up about my hobbies like ultramarathon running. With my team's open communication and the firm's flexible work opportunities, I have more freedom to balance hobbies like running with my work schedule.
I can go the extra mile
For my next ultramarathon, I was inspired to support Grant Thornton’s Purple Paladin, 51 Vets. My grandfather is a veteran, and when the firm announced 51 Vets as a Purple Paladin, I knew I had to act to support the elite veteran community. I’m thrilled my job provides opportunities that allow me to give back in ways beyond my day-to-day work.

Before running...
I got into long-distance biking and weight lifting.
I bring my own self...
to work with my drive to be challenged and willingness to learn: about a new client, a new skill or a new colleague.
